Story behind SOS-Check

It all started with a phone call: How can NFC be used to quickly provide the right information in an emergency - without stress and without wasting time?

The association Herzkrankes Kind Aachen e.V. (Heart Disease Children Aachen) found the perfect partner in NFC21. Discussions turned into workshops, ideas turned into solutions - and finally, SOS-Check was created: the online portal that, together with smart NFC products such as bracelets or pendants, becomes a reliable everyday companion.

Developed with passion, technology, and the shared goal of supporting people in exceptional situations.

The SOS-Check Bundle was developed in close cooperation with the Herzkrankes Kind Aachen e.V. association and tested in practice.

With every bundle sold, we support the association's work with a donation of €5. At the same time, the proceeds go toward the further development of SOS-Check.

After the activation process, the profile can be filled with data. This includes:

Whether playing at the playground, on a school trip or in everyday life: parents can't always be there. And children can't always tell you what's going on in an emergency.

If necessary, the SOS Check can be scanned. We have built the system so that it also works under stress: The most important data is at the top, easy to read and understand.

Data changes, the profile picture needs to be updated or a telephone number has been altered? All information entered can be easily adjusted and will be visible after the next scan.

No, there are no subscription fees or follow-up costs with SOS-Check. The NFC products are designed to last a long time.

Instead, new editions of bracelets, pendants, and cards will be offered regularly in case you get tired of the existing colors and designs.

The prices of SOS-Check products are calculated fairly to ensure both the further development and continued operation of the platform. We also want to use the included donation portion to support the valuable work of the association.

As part of the NFC-Smart family from NFC21, operating costs can be distributed across multiple platforms, which further supports the sustainable development of SOS-Check.

No, you don't need an app. All you need is an NFC-enabled smartphone: Simply hold your smartphone up to the SOS Check product and the profile will open directly in your browser – no installation required, easy to use and ready to go.

Yes. Since NFC chips offer only very limited storage space, an online profile is used to store all important information that can really help in an emergency.

The profile is optimized to load quickly and display reliably and without barriers on all smartphones.
